How does online mediation work?

The process starts by each of you having your own initial meeting, called a MIAM. This meeting takes place online and lasts up to an hour.

In the MIAM you will find out more about mediation and have time to tell us about anything you think is important to discuss in mediation.
After you have both completed a MIAM, we would then look to arrange a joint process in which the matters you have both raised can be discussed.

Joint sessions could be with both of you in the same online meeting or in shuttle, where you are in separate online rooms and the mediators come to you in turn.

At the end of the process you have the option to have the outcomes written up by the mediators.

If the process breaks down or you wish to apply to the court for a hearing we can sign the appropriate form for you.
